KEEPER

Keeper was born here on our farm.  Her mom came to us bred so we never met her dad.  But, from the very start she impressed us with her calm and grounded nature.  A true keeper.  
She has been a fabulous dog from the start, attending to both lambing seasons without issue.  Albeit she did need to spend some time in with the mini cows and mini horses from about 6 months old to a year because she was starting to view the sheep as her playmates.  But just after her first birthday she was ready to be a full time sheep guardian.  She hasn't missed a beat since.  keeping watch over everything.  More than once she has jumped the fence to help out.  Once she left her sheep to keep the horses in the yard because they had escaped.  She barked and barked until I went to see what was wrong.  As soon as I put the horses away she jumped right back in with her sheep.  I'm fairly positive none of our fencing would hold her if she wanted to go anywhere.  She can jump really high, but she chooses to stay with her flock.  That's her job and she's great at it!
