TORBEN

Torben, means Thunder Bear, and he certainly looks the part.  he's always been big.  weighing in at 106 lbs at 8 months old.  But don't let his size fool you, he's a giant love to his people.  He came to us from a farm in New York, and when I went to choose him from the litter he instantly stood out to me because he was so calm and confident.  Already keeping watch and posting up by the gate instead of wrestling with his siblings over the food.  Although he's the size of our mini horses, he's proven to be a wonderful guardian for them.  He's respectful of their space, backs away when they come through and has the most amazing basic obedience I've experienced in a Maremma.  Not only does he know how to sit, but he'll actually do it when asked!  And he has amazing leash manners as well, showing up all the girls when we go to the vets office for shots.
