LOST PAGE RECOVERED
I typed this page up and though I had lost it before I had added photos, so I retyped all the puppy descriptions again.  Those type ups can be found on the "Roo and her Puppies page".  But, if you're curious you can read through these as well.
ROO BEAR'S LITTER
July 8th 2022

Roo Bear is an absolutely fabulous mom who welcomed 13 puppies into the world this spring. Â Unfortunately with so many there are bound to be losses and 2 sadly didn't make it. Â But she is happily raising 11! Â She an amazing guardian and an amazing mother, her pups are bound to follow in her tracks and take good care of their future charges just as well as their mom does. Â They are currently being raised out with the sheep and ponies. Â With the occasional rouge chicken or peacock that wanders in. Â So far all of them are lovely pups and I have high hopes for them.
BLACK GIRL
6 weeks - 9.1lbs
This little girl is sweet and really looks to her human for direction. Â She loves attention and readily comes to you for pets. Â She's a bit submissive, and will need someone who is comfortable giving her guidance to help build her confidence as she matures, or even an older LGD to show her the ropes. Â But she is by no means a softy, she shows confidence and is very grounded and shows little reaction to new and startling things. Â Although she loves people, she also loves her home, and is what I call home bound. Â Meaning she prefers not to leave her area, right now that means her siblings and the flock of sheep. Â She has no interest in chasing or biting and should be relatively easy to raise to guard poultry and smaller animals. Â She also tests as more sensitive to touch, which implies things like leash training should be easier than many of her siblings. Â All I all she going to make someone an amazing guardian, all she needs is a confident leader and a lot of love.

PURPLE GIRL
6 weeks - 9.4lbs
This little girl is not home bound as far as I can tell. Â She is happy to be off for a short while as long as she has a human she can trust around. Â She also love attention, but is more submissive. Â Tending to cower easily when she's unsure of what's happening. Â It's short lived though, and soon enough she's up and about looking for attention and exploring her surroundings. Â She is quiet and non reactive. Â Has no interest in chasing or biting (although as puppies are puppies she will teeth, the temperament testing cannot conclusively say she will never bite on anything). Â She will likely adapt well to guarding all types of stock, including poultry. Â With consistent guidance she will be a fabulous addition to any farm.

TAN GIRL
6 weeks - 10.3lbs
This girl would do best with a very confident home. Â She has s streak of anxiety that comes across as being extremely submissive. Â She will definitely benefit from and older experienced LGD or an attentive and reassuring human. Â Hidden beneath the insecurities is a feisty alpha female waiting to come out. Â Once away from her siblings and protecting her own flock I feel she'll definitely come into herself as a force to be reckoned with. Â Not at all dangerous, but serious and unwavering in her job as guardian. Â Even now she is not one to really submit to affection, instead she freezes, contemplates and usually walks away. Â She would do best in a loving and reassuring home that eventually wants a dog that's more independent and can handle things on her own.

MARIGOLD GIRL
6 weeks - 7.8lbs
I'm not sure this one is even a Maremma, she's naturally friendly for the breed and always happy. Â And I mean always. Â That little tail is always wagging. Â She loves people, all people, and is happy to offer up her belly for rubs. Â She does want to play, and that means raising her with smaller animals may be hard. Â She's inclined to explore with her teeth and that could be bad news for poultry. Â But I see no signs of wanting to hunt or kill, just play. Â So with time and patients she could easily be trusted with any stock after she matures. Â Until then though, I'd recommend supervision, lots of safe play with humans or house dogs, and practicing her guarding with larger animals. Â Even if she spend a lot of her puppyhood in your yard it's unlikely she'll run off, she seems to be home bound and will likely prefer to stay with her family.

MAGENTA GIRL
6 weeks - 10.5 lbs
This girl is curiosity in a fluffy package.  She's the one who'll be running the fence line and gaurding the perimeter. She'll need to investigate everything new, and likely will quickly start telling her family when something is out of place.  Maremmas have a distinct bark when they find something that doesn't belong.  A down fence, an open gate, animals out.  This girl is so curious and observant I wouldn't be surprised if she starts alarming her family to oddities early in life.  When she's not working though, she knows how to rest.  Alternating between full alert to full relaxation.  I'm sure she's still listening though.  As for her family, she'll need a gentle touch as she's extremely submissive and sensitive and looks to her human for direction.  Her sensitivity could be challenging if she over reacts to a correction.  But rest assured she's listening and learning to everything you say.  When not interacting with others she is confident and brave.  She going to be amazing.

PINK GIRL
6 weeks - 10.3lbs
Nothing phases this girl. Â She's confident and relaxed, playful and social. Â She is also curious, checking everything out and seeing if she can play with it. Â Because of the playing, and tendency to check things out with her mouth, I would suggest she start out with larger livestock, or with only supervised time if she's to guard smaller creatures like lambs or poultry. Â Aside from that small set back, she is wonderful. Â She loves people, and should be easier to leash train as she tests very sensitive to touch. Â She would make a great guardian and all around farm dog, especially one with older kids to play with. Â Older kids only because she'll be big and small kids are easy to knock over. Â As she matures that shouldn't be a problem and she'll grow to protect your family as much as her livestock.

EMERALD GIRL
6 weeks - 9.8lbs
This girl is a little bit of everything. Â She's a people lover, she's curious. Â She's grounded and confident. She's a pup that could take charge and become an alpha female in the future, but would also be fine letting someone else have that job. Â She has a bit of play in her, but no prey drive. Â And to be honest she looses interest and puts little effort into chasing anything. Â She's a happy puppy, who's not phased by much of anything. Â She's could be totally happy being out in a pasture and seeing her human only for feedings, or being more involved in everyday farm/family life. Â She'll need someone who can make and keep consistent rules for her, and then she'll thrive and become a fabulous dog!

ORANGE BOY
6 weeks - 5.6lbs
This little guy is by far the smallest runt I've ever had. Â Almost every other pup is twice his size. Â But what he lacks in bulk he makes up for in attitude. Â He's a feisty little guy who can hold his own. Â He's not quick to submit or back down. Â Although loving and sweet, he may be a challenge for a first time LDG owner simply because he has such a strong will. Â Everything in his testing suggested he'll be a fine guardian, he's confidant and brave. Â And quite home bound, so he'll likely do a lot of his guarding from some nearby perch where he can survey his charges. Â Because of his size, I'd recommend him for a farm with a lower predator load. Â And hopefully smaller predators. Â He should be easy to train if you don't let him get away with anything. Â Just cause he's tiny doesn't mean he's above the law!

TAN BOY
6 weeks 10.8lbs
This dude is a puddle of fluff. Â His favorite position is horizontal. Â He's quiet and laid back, putting up a bit of a vocal protest if he's lifted to a new location. Â Nothing serious, he's just a couch potato. Â He has a small bit of anxiousness that I'm sure will leave once he's with his new family and learns their routines. Â Leave him to do his thing and he's content and happy to keep a watch over things while laying down. Â He's a good boy, should be easy to train and easy to raise up with whatever type of livestock you want. Â He's not likely to challenge anyone for alpha, that's too much work. Â But don't worry, just because he prefers to stay still does not mean he won't be a good guardian. Â Even stationary he's very attentive to his surroundings and I have no doubt that when needed he will jump into action.

CHOCOLATE BOY
6 weeks - 11.3lbs
This guys a mess, literally. Â He's still young to say it's a lifelong trait, but it seems he really like mud baths. He is very submissive and happy, but I get the feeling it's partially an anxious thing. Â He could easily take the roll of top dog if needed. Â He has the confidence to do it. Â But I don't think he really wants to and would happily let someone else lead (human or dog) if that were an option. Â Although he is super affectionate to his people, he shows signs of being aloof to strangers. Â An excellent trait if people are among the predators you want him to keep away from your livestock. Â He shows no signs of aggression, so likely that would mean barking and cornering any unwanted visitors until you arrived to tell him it was ok for them to move on. Â This guy is cool and collected and collected and will make someone a wonderful guardian.

OLIVE GREEN BOY
6 weeks - 11.1 lbs
Of all the puppies this guy has the most inclination towards being an alpha. Â Though he happily accepts affection at times he is aloof and reserved. Preferring to keep to himself and not interact unless he has to. His ideal home would be a large, quiet farm with a serious job, I don't think he'd be as happy on a small or busy farm. Â He would be content to have minimal interactions with his people. Â That's not to say that he'll grow up to be wild or wolflike. Â He'll love his people to the end of the earth, but he doesn't show signs of needing them. Â He'd be content with a few good pets and kind words and then back to his job. Â Once you get to know each other you'll see what a big softy he really is, and he'll make the right home a great dog.
